Personal Childhood Web

I was raised in a single parent household. My mother and sister's were all I knew. I had friends growing up but none could compare to the love and friendship I have with my sisters. My mother was the backbone that held our immediate family together. She wanted nothing but the best for me and my sister's. When my two oldest sisters did not complete high school, I knew I would have to be the one who gave my mom the first high school diploma. But I did not stop there.

When my mom and dad passed within two years of each other, the bond between my sisters and I have grew tremendously. Its because of them that I feel their is nothing that I can not do. They are my biggest support system. Although I am the middle child my sisters continue to make a impact in my life. They continue to encourage me to accomplish my dreams to make our parents proud.

  1. Brandi, what a beautiful family! It's so nice to hear of the strong bond with your sisters. It's so important to have those loving and supportive people in our lives. How nice to hear your relationship with your sisters has grown stronger over the years. My sister and I are very close too, I can't imagine going through life without her. She too is one of my biggest cheerleaders and supporters. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Brandi,
You are so lucky to have great relationships with your siblings. I have three sisters and one brother. Unfortunately they all lived in California while I was growing up. There are all from my father's second marriage. I used to spend almost every summer in California as I was growing up, but even so, me and my siblings are not as close as I would like.
I am sorry to hear about your mother and father. It is so hard to lose a parent. After my mom passed away, my father actually moved back to Wisconsin. It is nice we are actually starting to build more of a relationship now.
You must have been very proud to have your mom see you graduate. And now look at you! I wish my mom could see where I am today, I know that she would be proud too.
    Cindy
